This ain't the final decision; but it is the final decision: the DOJ wouldn't leak a non-pros memo unless they were committed to a non-pros. So it looks like Mr. Wilson's actions will not be pursued further as a matter for criminal prosecution. This leaves open, of course, civil tort actions; but it is an important milestone nonetheless.

The StormFront crowd is no doubt disappointed, though I suspect they can twist this into evidence that Holder's DOJ is just providing cover for an even more audacious plan to enslave the white race.

Justice Department said ready to clear Ferguson officer: N.Y. Times

    http://news.yahoo.com/justice-department-said-ready-clear-ferguson-officer-n-212934267.html

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department is about to close the investigation into the shooting death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, and clear the white police officer involved of any civil rights charges, The New York Times reported on Wednesday.

The newspaper quoted law enforcement officials as saying that federal prosecutors had begun work on a legal memo recommending no civil rights charges against the officer, Darren Wilson, after an FBI investigation found no evidence to support charges against him.

    The Justice Department declined comment.

The agency is still conducting a probe into the Ferguson police force. A St. Louis County grand jury decided last year not to prosecute Wilson.

CNN)After a grand jury decided in November not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the fatal shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, many shifted their attention to a federal investigation into the killing.

But on Wednesday, officials told CNN that federal investigators didn't find enough evidence and that Justice Department prosecutors won't recommend civil rights charges against Wilson.

Attorney General Eric Holder, who has the final say in the matter, has said he will announce his decision before he leaves office, which is expected to be by the spring.

The news that emerged Wednesday is likely to upset those who saw the federal investigation as a way to pursue justice for Brown and his family.

Whatever happened to the DOJ and Eric Holder investigation of George Zimmerman after he was found not guilty. If I remember correctly, even after he was found not guilty the DOJ was going to investigate it as a hate crime. Is that still going on or have they dropped that one?

Of course not. Racist ass country. The person in charge of the Department of Justice is probably some secret klansman anyway.

No. It was obvious to most of society that this cop did nothing wrong. The "investigation" was purely a ploy to appease the idiots & race obsessed ne'er-do-wells of society...

CNN will be the ones most disappointed to hear this.
I'm sure that they were counting on endless hours of filler going over why the Federal case will provide justice for the Gentle Giant this time.

Hopefully Rev. Al will take a break from raising money to pay off his organization's back taxes to give holder and the president a piece of his mind.

I think it's the fact that Al Sharpton sucked all the money and publicity out of the incident that he could get and all of the fake outrage has died down, that it's no longer a pressing issue.
