Donald Trump on closing mosques: 'We're gonna have no choice'

Real-estate mogul Donald Trump doubled down on potentially closing down certain U.S. mosques during a Tuesday interview on Fox News.

Host Sean Hannity pressed on Trump on the topic, emphasizing that any shuttered mosques would be places where authorities could prove there was "terroristic threats" and "talk of jihad."

"Nobody wants to say this and nobody wants to shut down religious institutions or anything, but you understand this," Trump replied.

"We're gonna have no choice," he added.
"There's absolutely no choice. Some really bad things are happening and they're happening fast."DONALD TRUMP
The Republican presidential front-runnergenerated national headlines earlier in the week when he said he'd "strongly consider" closing some U.S. mosques in order to combat terrorism.
He noted that the French government is apparently considering the "dissolution of mosques where hate is preached" in the aftermath of last week's terror attack in Paris, which was linked to the Islamic State terrorist group.

"You're gonna have to do something," Trump emphasized during his Hannity interview. "Some bad things are happening -- and a lot of them are happening in the mosque. And you're gonna have to do something. And I'm not the only one saying this. Other countries are saying this, frankly. But some really bad things are happening."

Trump also repeated his controversial vow to kick out Syrian refugees in the US if he wins the presidential race.

"If they come into this country, they're going out. If I win, they're going out," Trump said, warning that the refugees could be "the ultimate Trojan horse" for terrorists.

"It's not worth the risk," he added.

"Mosques" are hotbeds of radicalization, planning and cover ups.

These turd world throwbacks cynically use our laws and Constitution against us. It is not a death-pact. Time to call a spade a spade and clean house.

Unfortunately for jihadists there are some exceptions to the 1st Amendment and terroristic threatening , threatening terrorism against the US: he can have these mosque leaders thown in prison and essentially shut them down

If they are preaching terrorism in the mosque, it is no longer a house of God, so fuck them.

He seems like the type that will do whatever needs to be done, no matter how much shit he gets for it. He's not there to win popularity contests.

There was a guy on CNN discussing this and the Gov't has been watching and overseeing communication in a lot of these Mosques. Nothing is new there.

Trump doesn't seem to understand his Constitution.

Getting rid of the first amendment pretty much makes this website and all others like it potentially illegal, and would open the door for religious fanatics of any stripe to control this country.

In other words, it's fuckin' stupid.

He can't close mosques, he can't close churches, or VFW's or KKK meeting places. People can't be arrested for their thoughts, they can't even be arrested for their words, unless those words are credible threats or conspiracies

You know how many churches were used as meeting places for the KKK? Or how about the Jeffries church where girls were raped and forced into marriage. Churches and Mosques don't commit crimes

The only way to manage the threat is to pass laws making certain ideology illegal and actions war crimes, just like we did the Nazi's. They can't outlaw Muslims, but I think they can frame laws against being a member of supporter of ISIS/ISIL---It has to be very carefully framed

For some reason people seem to think they are voting for a dictator when they vote for Trump, he can't bypass the judicial system, he can't bypass Congress, he can't bypass the 14th Amendment, so he can spout all this rhetoric to get his base worked up but in the end he will be hard pressed to put any of it into place.
