I just got a 24-pack of Bud. Is that an acceptable beer to have in the fridge? I don't usually have beer.

Oh, and before one of you assholes goes and says "why are you drinking beer out of cans, you're white trash, that tastes like shit" and so on... I buy cases of cans for some very good reasons:

First of all I don't always drink cans. I have a meister but I haven't replaced the keg yet so in the mean time I got cans.

I drink them too fast to really notice a difference in taste. They don't have the chance to get warm, which would bring out the metallic flavor.

Finally, aluminum is the only material that's been proven safe and effective to recycle. The jury is still out on whether or not recycling glass (or even paper or plastic) is really helpful. Some say it's actually counter-productive because the energy required and the by-products/waste created actually cancel out the eco-benefits of recycling. SOME say it's actually more eco-friendly to trash these materials and make new, because it uses less energy and creates less waste.
HOWEVER- Aluminum is safe, clean, cheap and effective to recycle.
SO I do my part by buying all my beer in metal... either kegs or cans. No glass. And CERTAINLY none of those plastic bottle shits they have now. Those are really gay.

People say they don't taste as good as bottles. And it's true that sometimes a little metallic aftertaste can come through. But if you're just drinking Bud or whatever, does it really matter? Most high-end beers that people buy specifically FOR the flavor don't even come in cans. I guess these factors are the reason beer in cans has kind of a white-trash connotation. But I don't care. It's more eco-friendly and there's nothing white-trash about that. ;)

I just microwaved a two-day-old Big Mac, for Christ's sake. I'll suck the beer out of a damp T-Shirt.

This, and like you said if you drink it fast enough while it's still cold you don't notice the difference. Besides, aluminum has to be safe...as much deodorant as I use.

I only drink cans when the Kegerator is tapped. Makes the recycling lighter.

    Dev has nice cans also.

    True story.
