fuck off shiv
Is that really froggy from SFN?
Ladies and Gentlemen The Ponds have left the building!
Cool thread, Froggy.
no more ginger legs!!
it is very odd to look at the acclaim the show is getting now and think "The rest of the country is finally catching up. It only took 36 years for people here to learn what I realized in 1976."
If someone wanted to start watching this, would they have to go back to the beginning to make sense of it, or can you jump right in anywhere?
doctor who was always fun. i got into it when the guy with the long scarf was on.
i don't get bbc america because i'll never watch any other channel in that whole cable package. it's a matter of principle.
difficult for me to say: i've been following it since 1976. tonight is the last episode of this season (mid season finale). the next episode will be the Xmas special and then possibly an easter special before the rest of the season airs. after tonight a new companion joins the cast so the storyline will kind of restart. its probably a good time to jump in.
i bet it airs on SciFi in a month or so.
It's on Netflix, that's why I was asking where to jump in. There's a ton of them there, not sure if it's all of them though I was just Googling that now.
on netflix i would find the first david tennant episode and start with that
Yeah look at that, it says it's the first of the new ones after a 15 year hiatus. Looks like a good place to start for sure. We just finished Battlestar Galactica so I have time for more scifi now
i LOVED battlestar galactica.
sci fi needs to run it. it's been a few years.
Yeah we couldn't stop watching. An episode nearly every night, sometimes 2.
Unbelievably well done.
