I grew up in the 80s with Testarossa and Countach posters in my room by Michael Jordan. I bought a Groupon for a three lap drive (not ride along) of a Lamborghini Murcielago Friday. Anyone ever drive one? Any tips? If I just punch it, am I going to wreck myself? Does it take more skill than I naively think that have?
If I push the instructor out while going above 80, will he be sufficiently disabled so I can flee and pull into the covered bed of a truck?

if you've never driven a v12 or high end sports car you will have to adjust to the power

Keep the traction control turned on.

Be very careful with the throttle if you've never driven a hyper-car before.

This thing is faster than a Ferrari Enzo.

The accelerator pedal will sometimes get stuck in high-end vehicles. This is normal. Your high-pitched screaming and wailing is considered rude, and the Groupon will not be honored if the driver's seat is soiled.

    Vegas?

Took the kids to this place on my daughter's 21st. Had a blast. My son drove a Ferrari 458, daughter drove the new Corvette C7 Z06, daughters boyfriend drove an Audi R8.
Closed course, banked turns, 130mph plus in the straight. Not cheap but a hell of a lot more fun than sitting in a Casino. The ride along with the professional drifter is tits.

That does look like a lot of fun.

You can also pay a bunch of money at the Nuerburgring to get driven around by a professional race car driver in a super fast car. I want to do that someday.

    http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/drives-fun/drives/co-pilot-rides.html

I'm a more than decent driver, but sitting next to a pro who knows exactly what the car can do and knows the track is a completely different ballgame.
