The Destruction tour is an annual part of the New Japan Pro Wrestling schedule, but this year for the first time, the promotion will be doing three major shows in September. The shows will feature fallout from the G1 Climax tournament, as well as the Best of the Super Juniors tournament and the Super J-Cup. Several stars from Pro Wrestling Noah will also be on the Destruction tour, continuing the programs set up during the G1 and Super J-Cup that will likely continue all the way to Wrestle Kingdom in January.

Kushida defending the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship against Los Ingobernables de Japon member Bushi will headline Destruction in Tokyo on 9/17. Katsuyori Shibata will also defend the NEVER Openweight Championship against Ring of Honor’s TV Champion Bobby Fish.

At Destruction in Hiroshima on 9/22, Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega will defend his G1 Climax briefcase against Yoshi-Hashi, who had an extremely popular performance in this year’s tournament. IWGP Jr. tag champions the Young Bucks will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight tag titles on this show as well, plus IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Luck Fale, and Will Ospreay vs. Ring of Honor Champion Adam Cole.

Michael Elgin will defend the IWGP Intercontinental Championship against Tetsuya Naito at Destruction in Kobe on 9/25. The NEVER Openweight 6-man tag titles will also be on the line as Matt Sydal, Ricochet and Satoshi Kojima face off against Bullet Club members Adam Cole and the Young Bucks.

Finally, the main event for NJPW King of Pro-Wrestling on October 10th has been set. Kazuchika Okada will defend the IWGP Heavyweight Championship against the ace of Pro Wrestling Noah Naomichi Marufuji in a rematch from their incredible match during the G1 Climax.

New Japan World will have all three Destruction shows, as well as the 9/12 Road to Destruction house show at Korakuen Hall, plus King of Pro-Wrestling on 10/10 and the Young Lions project on 9/1 that will feature most of the current Young Lions (wrestlers in training) in New Japan and Noah facing off in matches against established stars and veterans.

A long time ago i was working in a hospital closest to the airport. A pilot came in with a heart attack. A couple days later hes in full blown DTs. Just as well, his career was over because of his heart.

That's nothing. In the early 2000's I hung at a local pub where ton of airline folk stopped in because it's a block from Midway. I promise that some times 8 hours wasn't nearly enough to have pilots sober up. Great guys, lots of fun, pussy hounds, energetic, but shit do they drink.

It's changed a lot from back in the day. Used to be a lot of partying, but not anymore.

I will say though, no matter how hard we partied, the 8 hr rule was never broken that I witnessed. Granted, there were times when we were having so much fun that we looked at our watch to calculate 8 hrs to the minute, but it's just one of those thing that you don't mess around with.

This is not too far from reality (despite the extreme un-pc-ness of the rant (which I couldn't give a fuck about))

I don't doubt that the 8 hour rule was adhered to, I just question if it is enough time. lol

Thanks but I'd rather not fly with pilots suffering the after effects of getting drunk only 8 hours before a flight. It should be a 24 hour rule.

Glasgow Airport seems to be a popular airport for drunken pilots. Last month two Canadian pilots were arrested for being drunk in the cockpit.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-36832625

Two pilots have appeared in court after being arrested at Glasgow Airport on suspicion of being impaired through alcohol.

Captain Jean-Francois Perreault, aged 39, and Imran Zafar Syed, who is 37, were remanded in custody.

They were arrested at the airport on Monday on suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol.

The Canadian pair were due to fly a Canada-bound Air Transat plane with 345 passengers and nine crew on board.
