I used to drink 1-3 glasses of wine daily and do heavy drinking during the weekend each week, sometimes multiple days in a row. This was after I already slowed down quite a lot compared to a year ago. I never saw it as a problem because it didn't seem to interfere with my daily activities. I went to this party last week and I didn't have to drive. I got fucking hammered and had a shitty hangover the next day. There seems to be a pattern here. Whenever I have a good reason to get drunk (no work/obligations the next day), I get wasted, like not-be-able-to-walk-normally wasted. I never really want to have just one or two drinks. Once I start, I want to keep on drinkin'. That's not a good thing, I gotta watch out for that kinda shit. So I decided to completely stop drinking for a while. It's been a little over a full week and I kinda like it. I noticed that I was pretty tired the whole week and had a little bit of a headache. It might be a coincidence but it might have to do with it, who knows. It's probably the first time in 15 years I haven't had a single drop of alcohol in a full week. I'll keep it up for another while, see if it's worth it. On a more positive note, had a pretty cute girl I met at the gym over last night. It was fun.
