The only thing better would be if he assumed room temperature Florida mugger shoots himself after robbery, asks police officer for help BY Joel Landau NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Sunday, March 15, 2015, 11:17 AM Lashawn Williams, 24, accidently shot himself during a robbery and then allegedly stole a car at a strip before flagging down an officer for help, police said. He got the worse of his own mugging. A Florida thief accidentally shot himself during a stick-up, and the wound led him on a desperate few minutes that ended with him flagging down a police officer from a Mercedes he took from a strip club, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Lashawn Williams, 24, allegedly took a phone from a victim early Sunday morning but when he fled he shot himself, the newspaper reported. The suspect panicked and ran across the street to Cleo's Gentlemen's Club and jumped into a Mercedes that had an open door, police said. Williams took the car and raced down the street. But the pain from his gunshot wound was too much and he decided to pull over a few blocks away and flag down a deputy officer, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said. Williams was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. The victim of the robbery also identified Williams as the man who took his phone, the newspaper said. Police did not return messages seeking comment on the incident.
