Start convincing the azn population that cicadas are good fried.
no need. in DC, every restaurant and eatery has Cicada of some kind on the menu. They're doing the same thing with the Snakehead Fish that's been increasingly prevalent along the Potomac.
I remember the last time they emerged...loud and gross! They were everywhere.
Best fishing bait ever..
there are going to be some happy birds and other bug eating aminals it is
I've been advocating this for awhile: if nature evolves a pest, define it as a delicacy. For thousands of years our most effective method of controlling nature is eating it.
Connecticut is not between Georgia and New York. I call bullshit.
i was just wondering that. lots of folks eat bugs, i wonder if the natives used to cook them up before we infested this continent. lot's of protein.
yeah? cool. i'd eat a couple if they were deep fried. a little salt a little beer.
those fucking snakeheads. what a mess.
Garrison Keillor will get 3 yrs of comedy material out of this.
motherfucker loves him some cicadas.
i'd try the red ones. they look spicey.
How are these different from the cicadas that are already here? I realize it is not the same brood emerging every year, but there never seems to be a shortage of them
Are those the fish that can "walk" to other lakes?
Exactly! Loud muthas
no. these are the ones that jump whenever a boat drives by. they are killing off native species in record time and they are spreading like a disease. they apparently taste like crap too.
That's how BubbleNose Mlaw handles it
Ohhh, the ones that have open season on them, with rewards!
