    Thanks Lasertit.
First thing I noticed about London when I visited there bout 35 years ago was the incredible number of chimneys.
    4th pic shows that.

LT - Great - as always!

If you take requests, Paris between the wars might be interesting. The club/restaurant scene was happening! And you must have some great old time hockey stuff...

Oh, well. Nice to know you tried. It was interesting when you could see the players' faces clearly and there was much less padding - not to mention no goalie masks!

My grandmother was born in 1913. She passed away in 2011 at the age of 97. When we were all sitting at her wake, my mother broke out a lot of her old photo albums, which was a great way to get our family to talk about the fun times they all had together(which weren't a whole lot from what I heard). My mother even managed to find some that my grandmother had hidden, from when she was a teenager. None of my family members had even known those albums existed, it was really cool. This thread reminds me of that, even though she wasn't British.

I mentioned to my mother at the wake that a person who lived in the span of those years, 1913-2011, had seen more technological and social change than had occurred in the previous 1,000 years put together. The last century really was remarkable. It only makes me wonder about what will be written in our collective history in the next 100 years...
