Ever since the World Cup last year I watch a lot of it. I much prefer the European game to MLS. The crisp passing and accuracy sure beats the clumsy long-ball game and sloppy pot shots so common in MLS.
Comcast is somewhat limited in programming and that sucks.

My youngest son likes Arsenal, but it's mostly because of the cannon and he likes violence. Older son is Man City fan. He got to do the "walk on" thing at an MLS game recently. He thought it was pretty cool. One place where it's acceptable for a grown man and a 13 year old boy to hold hands!

You can't find soccer on Comcast? Every Saturday and Sunday on NBCSN, NBC, sometimes CNBC and USA network. Bundesliga this year on Fox Sports1 as well. There's tons of soccer on Comcast.

And yea, if you are sports fan and have only seen MLS or world cup, give the premier league a try. It's much quicker, athletic and physical than what you've probably seen. It's filled with history, traditions, and rabid fan bases that create some unique story lines and drama. Really a lot of fun if you can get into it.

    Old but good

He gets the ball. He takes the piss. He wears the shirt of Matt La Tis

South hamptons goal machine Ricky Lambert

Spurs and United was ok, but I'm more excited to see the two newly promoted teams play next. Bournemouth is supposedly a pretty exciting, attack based team. Should be fun to watch. Watford has Layun, who is a pretty exciting player. One of my favorite parts of the BPL is promotion and relegation, getting a couple fresh new teams every year.

This X 1000 - for all the reasons just given, plus the fact that the quality of the finishing is infinitely better. "Finishing", btw, is defined as the ability to finish your attack and actually get the ball in the goal - and it is a product of how much better the players in the EPL can send crosses into the box with accuracy, control their dribble in traffic around the net, make accurate short passes through defenders and the power and accuracy of their headers and shots on goal. And even though "simulation" can occasionally be a problem in the EPL (what we would call taking a dive in the hopes of getting a penalty called) it's nowhere near the magnitude of the problem this is in the Mexican and South American leagues.

It's not in any danger of replacing college football in terms of the sheer magnitude of the experience, but the fans are just as passionate. The EPL rightly deserves its moniker as "the beautiful sport". :)
