Sure. One I remember was on a rainy day in LA back in the early 80s protesting the expansion of US military bases in El Salvador. Others happened with better weather. Mostly protesting the 80s military expansion.

I went to a pro choice march once with my ex-wife , then GF in Washington .
It was an arranged bus trip down to Washington and an excuse for me to visit the air and space museum before the March. Even though I could give two shits about abortion and who gets them I was there .
The to be honest I got some good sex out of it after we got back to her dorm that night after the March . So it was a win in my book .

The second one I went to was one in Boston because they wouldn't let the libertarian candidate for governor in the debate . She was someone I really backed also so I was there for real . Ted ( the drunken murderer ) Kennedy waked out after the debate and told us we were wasting our time . I looked right at the fuck and yelled " have another drink Ted you drunken fuck " . The look he shot back at me was friggin scary shit . That fucker is s scary dude.
I'm still glad I did it . That asshole never fooled me like he did the rest of this state . I didn't give two shits when he kicked a few years back .

At the '96 Dem convention in Chicago we were under strict orders not to arrest anyone unless absolutely necessary, Daley didn't want any arrests reported on the news. Anyway, a middle aged white woman protesting something, who thought it was still the 60's hocked a loogie in my face point blank yelling PIG. My Sgt, who saw the incident, said, "not today." She got a free pass. :nocheer:

My girlfriend, now wife, marched in the 1979 "No Nukes" Rally in NYC. We were 19 at the time. It was peaceful. Awesome experience. It changed Jack Shit.

    Peaceful protests rarely change anything.

Too busy working to worry about protests. I leave those for the unemployed or the entitled college kids majoring in ethnic diversity and feminism.

    I realy believe protests are

1 ) all about hooking up for sex
    2) something fun for college kids
    3) something to make you feel morally superior
    4) A way accomplish nothing but making a mess with trash
    5) a get together for self righteous assholes
