Old. dated. Irrelevant. not to mention that Howard is "above fm radio" since its an inferior medium...
The first song at the open just shows how far the show has fallen. I think I am going to listen and try it. It just makes the current shows that more frustrating
If they played a week of uncensored shows I could get into it. Playing select edited censored clips? Fuck you Howard Stern!
One second you hear Artie's voice....2 minutes later you hear something from 1994...then the late 80's
The buildup and the post F-Emmy's banter was just as fun and funny. Playing a fucking week of out of context edited censored F-Emmy's only......is a fucking FAIL!
The F Emmys were always a way to kill like three weeks and was a de facto best of show. The person who usually won was whoever they could get on the show which means it was usually a Z List celebrity or a overused Whack Packer.
Gotta disagree....originally the F Emmys were very good, though I'm sure they're dated now (not listening). The best was during the very early K-Rock days when the F Emmys were actually about the whole station...they'd play a clip of Allison Steel letting a record skip over and over, and then finally fading it out and coming back on the air sounding like a bufoon...or Vin Scelsa reading passages from a fiction book instead of playing music, or other K-Rock DJs screwing up on the air. Most of the jocks, like Pete Fornatel, had a good sense of humor about it when they came on the air live to accept their "awards" (mostly by phone). There were only a few clips from Stern's own show that were "nominated". It was great.
The only best of's that were any good were the ones Ba-Ba-Booey put together back in the K-Rock days......Now the only ones I want to hear are the ones with Gilbert.....................
One of the stern sales pitches for the revolution involved Gary talking about how Best-Ofs had to be censored again and again. Here we are now. The revolution censors everything.....and evolved just like testicle radio meaning the amount of censorship continues to evolve. New words people and topics erased like they never happened.
