How many times have you experienced these two emotions? How long did it take you to get over having your heart broken?

One is so great but man the other really, really sucks. (FYI: I'm in the former category right now... I've never actually felt this way about someone before. Becoming so invested in someone else is a pretty scary and foreign proposition to me... if something were to go wrong, I'd be an absolute mess.)

Stern related bc beef and wig are narcissists incapable of feeling true emotions for another.

First GF broke my heart. In retrospect it was for the best, but I was crushed for months.

My last serious girlfriend happened about 3 years ago.

Been happy banging 20somethings on backpage.
    No strings
    No stress
    No whining
    No guilt
    No waiting around
Not having to deal with their shit or their baggage.
Until such time where I meet a woman that I feel is going to change my life..........it's all about backpage.

My first real love was in high school. I wasn't popular and he aspired to be. He ripped my heart out and threw me away.
It took me a good ten years to get over that.
I would say he deserves his karma, but he became a successful lawyer with a gorgeous newborn. But his wife's a gummy hag so I get some enjoyment out of that.

All you had to do was bend over for 20-30 seconds and all that would have been yours now.

I had a few heartbreaks during my life, and they all sucked. It takes me a long time to get over someone.
But there was one ex in particular who did a number on me. I was devastated. And it took a lonnnnnnnngggggg time to finally make peace with what happened & learn to forgive & move on. Yeah, I dated other people after but it took years for me to truly love & let someone in and trust again.

I did, and it was way more than 20-30 seconds. I also traveled south quite a few times and it ended with him in tears of bliss. But again, it was all about status with him.

I just lost a 6 year relationship, I had moved in with her so with the break up I was pressured into buying a house that I really didnt want. So on top of heartbreak I have buyers remorse. I believe alcoholism is in my near future.

general rule- as soon as you fall in love you should ALREADY be mentally prepping for yourself for when it's over

this is EXTREMELY pessimistic and somewhat unhealthy but fact is nothing lasts forever especially in this generation

there will be no more 50th wedding anniversaries in our future......actually, they will exist but it will only happen with Mormons or Quakers but those people are weird to begin with

btw- I'm also the type of guy who likes cats (FUCK YOU) but doesn't want to own won because he abhors the fact that he will have to see that cat die someday

oh man the heartbreak. I dated this crazy one, I guess I was equally as crazy for dating her. The type who moved out of her parents house when she was 16. Huge Daddy issues. Tried to change me. Destroyed me. Glad thats over and never wifed it. Woulda been signing my death warrant. Ahhhh hindsight...

That stuff happens in your teenage years and your twenties. In your 30's and older you usually find a ladder and get the fuck over it. At least if you mentally and emotionally grew up.

My greatest heartbreak was unrequited love. Nothing worse than falling in love with someone who doesn't return the feeling. Actually, that seemed to be a recurring theme in my love life. The girls I really wanted, didn't want me. Settled for other pussy. Lots of lovemaking, but no love.
