The first two seasons were great!! It had an original storyline that progressed, characters developed, etc. However, the third season seemed to take a step down to me. They're starting to not tell the story, and forcing you to come up with a story in your own head.

The fourth season is starting soon, and I'm definitely going to watch. It's still a good series, but there's a couple episodes in season three that I just can't watch.

It's definitely worth watching as a whole. We'll have to see where they go with the series. There are a lot of unanswered questions left at the end of season three.

Honestly, I watched two seasons and gave up. They started getting into politics of the survivors and a really stupid looking race of new aliens. I just want to see people killing aliens.

The first season is fantastic. The second started off well, then right at the end veered off. Im tempted to go back to see season three, is it worth it?

If you didn't like season two, you won't like three.

What didn't you like about it? I didn't notice much political BS in the first two seasons, but I wasn't really looking. I know they went into the issue about whether the country should be controlled by civilians or the military. But that would be a legitimate concern in the event of an alien invasion. I usually consider political BS to be the shit they did on Battlestar. You know, mimicking the story to the real life situation in the middle east. Comparing morality, etc.

I watched it initially because it was a drama running opposite reality shows, and it has enough to keep me returning. It's not what I would call A list material because the main story arc never seems to go anywhere: to me it seems to get too bogged down and lost in the subplots. Like most TV dramas all the movement seems to he in the last 3 episodes of the season.

The series is known for ignoring some of the story progressions. Like when they broadcast that radio signal, that disabled the mechs. How come they stopped using it? Or when Pope came up that ammo. That went nowhere.

I thought it was going somewhere. They start off thinking they might be the last battalion left, and go off on a suicide mission to do as much damage as possible. After a semi-successful attack (which did nothing), they find out they're not the only group left. In fact, the survivors created a whole country. That's when everything turned to shit. Then there's two countries, and two different sets of aliens. Nothing is explained after season two. But they let you know there's a whole story they're not telling you.

Season 3 got better in the last 3 episodes, almost like they got lost at first. Ended with the baby again though.

Ya, it was season three!! So we agree! Except I'm still desperately hoping it'll come back to how it was.

I wasn't even interested in any of those sub-plots you named, which didn't matter because none of them were resolved. They all detracted from the main storyline, which is what I'm interested in.

However, I like how they increased Karen's role. :D

This pretty much sums it up. I hope this season is better than last.
