Yep, it was an awesome show. I don't know if I need a second season, though. No reason to run the awesome theme into the ground.

Billy Bob saved this thing. The British guy from the office playing Lester gets annoying always playing basically the same character making the same faces and pointing at the ceiling, Colin Hanks is always boring, and the fat chick was terrible casting.

It was entertaining with good writing but casting really needed a come to Jesus epiphany.

I like Allison Tolman as Deputy Molly Solverson if that's who you're referring to as "the fat chick". Really lovely face... I actually thought the chunkiness was some kind of padding used to make her appear overweight.
Completely agree with your assessment of Billy Bob being the salvation of the series.
But I also really like that Keith Carradine is in the series.

    Finished episode 5 moments ago.

I understand the Molly character is supposed to be kind of a pushover and that's the role - and by extension, the minnesota smalltown plainfolks archetype, but sometimes you just wanted to slap her. Maybe it would've been the same with another actress, dunno. However my nitpicks are less significant when all 10 episodes are taken as a whole.

But I'll give you this- you're in for 5 more great episodes, it stays consistent to the end. You're in for some real "WTF" moments.

Greatest show ever, and I'm serious about that.
Except for one mediocre episode, the series was outstanding. There were some very tense moments, some very creative murders and very memorable characters.

Are you sure this is what you want? :jj: Priceless.

It was good but I wanted more answers about if Billy Bob is the Devil or the greatest assassin ever who for some reason happens to keep working for a mere $100k after he bagged $1 mil.

Actually, like True Detective, Fargo will be back for another limited series run with a whole new "true" story and cast of characters taking place somewhere in the rural Minnesota tundra.. while again hopefully keeping the spirit, quirkiness, violence and black humor of the epic movie. Personally, I can't wait.

And Alison Tolman was terrific! I thought everyone was outstanding with the exception of the Colin Hanks character who I felt was unnecessary although he did play a critical role in the finale (and one that didn't surprise me)

One of the best lines of the show! I also liked the one from the guy in the truck selling drugs and weapons. I think it was something about him selling a "zombie backpack" that included a gun, machete and Bactine spray.

    Great show.

Favorite. Way better than Mad Men. Slightly better than True Detective. Seriously did not know where in the hell it was going from episode to episode. Most creative mass murder scene in TV history (filmed from outside building as Billy Bob went from room to room and floor to floor). Best scene of the year: Billy Bob talking a meek Colin Hanks out of arresting him with some amazing menace.

    Good stuff.

The whole series had so many memorable scenes, that it would be hard to choose even one as my favorite.
And I agree that it was better than True Detective, but I am slightly biased because I can't stand Woody Harrelson. Although, he did make me laugh inappropriately. No one slurps coffee like that dude.

And I'm going to say it, Billy Bob is THE greatest actor of our generation. I was reminded of his range when I recently saw a clip from Sling Blade and remembered how great he was in Bad Santa.
