Michael Moore wants Donald Trump banned from Facebook. The documentary filmmaker and left-wing political activist is asking people to report the GOP presidential frontrunner on Facebook for hate speech against a specific race or ethnicity. Moore wrote a detailed post that explained his cause and gave instructions how to report the politician. FACEBOOK RESPONDS TO CRITICISM ON ITS ANTI-TERRORISM POLICY View Gallery Donald Trump's public feuds "I'm joining others today in filing a complaint with Facebook that Trump's Facebook page is using hate speech to promote racism and bigotry," Moore wrote. "Please file your complaint, too." Trump has recently made a series of inappropriate remarks, including his call for "a total and complete shutdown" of Muslims entering the United States during a rally on Monday. The 2016 presidential candidate has been a prolific user of social media, including Facebook. "Wow, what a day. So many foolish people that refuse to acknowledge the tremendous danger and uncertainty of certain people coming into U.S.," Trump posted Wednesday. "Our country is facing a major threat from radical Islamic terrorism. We better get very smart, and very tough, FAST, before it is too late!" Facebook Michael Moore wrote a post on Facebook with detailed instructions on how to report Trump. Facebook's policy does highlight that any hate speech content attacking people on their race, ethnicity, religious affiliation or national origin will be removed. However, Trump's posts could potentially be protected by another rule under Facebook's community standards: "Facebook can be used to challenge ideas, institutions, and practices. Such discussion can promote debate and greater understanding." The Daily News reached to Facebook for comment, but didn't immediately get a response. Trump has also been popular on Facebook due to a new website that zones in on friends who follow the politician on the social network. Facebook users simply have to type in “Friendswholiketrump.com” on their URL and the website will automatically pull up a list of friends who “Like” Trump.
