Please don't ever use the term "alternative" to describe music again

I've only heard the names of two of those bands before, and an actual song by only one of those (Breeders; Cannonball).
Seems like there might have been a few less obscure one-hit-wonders back then, but I'm too lazy to do the research.....

Sorry Chriza, in the 90's Alternative was a sub-genre of music. Even in the late 80's bands like REM, The Cure, and others were considered "Alternative". Grunge music was just another term to use when "Alternative" ran its course.
