Ted Bell's car is in the shop.

They gave him a Mercedes 300 as a loaner car. Ted Bell wouldn't use a Mercedes 300 as a urinal, much less be seen driving one.

He lets his 9 year-old daughter drive herself to school while he hides in the backseat. She hits a pregnant women who is now suing Ted. His defense is his daughter was the one who hit her so she should be suing her instead.

Vernon Dozier is serious about fitness. So serious he doesnt have time to mop his sweat off the machines he uses at the gym.

Pastor William Renneck uses a dolly and dry ice to create the illusion that he is Jesus, so those dying in the hospital can see Jesus before they die. Of course chargin 100 bucks for this, AND having bonded scotch on your breathe may make a mockery of things.

Jay Santos - SUV driving test for women. Time to make sure women know how to handle the SUV's they are driving. The CAP has set up an off road test for these women that includes jumping a river.

I could go on and on.... Love the ole PHS. :(

Jay Santos, Citizen's Auxiliary Police. "We're just trying to save lives."

Any time Chris Norton got down to "brass tass" and talked about "ses." He was always getting in trouble with women- like the time he was giving a massage and his towel came off. He was completely nude and the woman got upset. His breathing problem as he listens to women yell at him on the radio.

Steve Bosell who always sues everybody, including his children and cries as he explains his side of things?

Margaret Grey and the great Bobbi Dooley.

Just listened to a Chris norton bit today where he raised the very interesting topic of.... If you give a woman the best sess she ever had, shouldn't she forgive you if you give her crabs. Oh and by the way, crabs is the street term for herpes, right?

Anyone listening to his podcast these days?

I tune in pretty regularly. Nowhere near the level of the ole show, maybe a few laughs here and there.

Funny, Stern and Phil both seemed to go downhill on the same angle so ta speak.

I just signed up for a year at Phil's website so I can listen to that old stuff. Chris Norton was one of the funniest bits in radio history, imho.

Maybe it's not such a great memory since I don't remember all the details, but one time he had two characters fighting over the fact one of them paid off a debt to the other and in the the check memo section he wrote "For Sexual Favors." Boy would that be embarrassing when the bank saw that written on the check between two males.

A firefighter became a paraplegic saving an infant from a fire. He built a handicapped ramp in the front of his house. Bobby and Steve Dooley are upset because as President of the HOA it violates their rules and there is no reason he can't use the doggie door.

I tried. It's all over the map. Rather unlistenable. The voices worked because people would call in and argue with the characters.

I think where he went downhill was after 9-11 be became all nationalistic. I know all of radio did, as the corporations were tied to Bush, but it was disappointing, still.

The problem/challenge is that the true genius was when he manipulated the unsuspecting caller which doesn't happen with the the podcast

I was fine with the nationalism as long as he stuck to the show format. I could deal with an hour of political phil rants. But once he completely dropped the show format and became the exact show he used to make fun of, that was the jump the shark moment in my mind.

Again, it is funny how similarly the Stern Show and PHS seemed to eat it and piss on their fans.

It never works when he does two or three characters all at once. I agree- his best days were a decade ago.

I don't know, the Art bell bits are classic. And some of the bits where bud and david G hall would team up on phil were hilarious too.

Some of my favorite "no caller" bits where the Jim Seals Auto Farm remote spots. Fill dressed up like a gorrilla while kids could throw bananas at him. The memorial day bit where Jim Seals was giving 10% off kraut cars to anyone with a concentration camp tattoo. They also had a Cinco De Mayo Jim seals bit.
