Still need to knock Teotihuacan off my pyramid bucket list
Pro football hall of fame was cool. Free admittance to vets all of November
Almost forgot OJ
Hitler's Eagles Nest.
Coliseum in Rome
The one thing I’ve ever seen that was actually bigger than it looked on tv
Wow, look at you with a clean-shaven face! You look 12!
Do you remember his name?
When I visited Stonehenge it wasn't that impressive. The main issue seem to be the massive amounts of tourists threw off the experience. If you could be the first to see it with a guide and nobody else around I'm sure it would be awesome.
Very disappointing. I spent most of my time there looking at some nearby cows. And, the cows were kind of far away.
Back when I was a spry 30!
The amount of people coming and going was a little off putting but I enjoyed the experience of being at such an iconic symbol in the evolution of our history. I can see where some would be disappointed, but for me it was on my list of places to visit while there.
Same trip, also visited Bath which had some very impressive Roman architecture.
The problem with viewing Roman architecture is that you have to have great time perspective.
The Romans were so far ahead of their time that they must have seemed to be alien buildings when they disappeared from England and other areas.
Old Trafford about 10 years ago, Mid season game against Liverpool was one amazing atmosphere. Did all the tourist stuff you do in London but nothing sticks with me more then going to see Manchester United play in Old Trafford.
Oriental Theater, Chicago. Camera phone shot from my seat.
I actually "drove" the whole thing via google streetview to basically see how bad it was for myself. I figure if we drove all the way around the north side of the island, the backside would be no big deal. That north side was white-knuckle driving.
We saw Wicked from the front row there. It's a great theatre, but have you seen St. Louis's Fox Theatre? It rivals it... Easily.
I'm generally the opposite of a theater person; this was a b-day gift for my step-daughter and honestly I dont even know if the Oriental is anything noteworthy - its about the second theater ive ever been inside. That Fox Theater looks pretty cool as well.
It was actually faster driving from Hana south back to Kahului than it was driving Kahului to Hana. I was afraid my timing was going to put me on the outside lane in the dark trying to maneuver those one lane curves. Freaked me out so I kept going around.
They just don't make them that ornate anymore. They're both incredible buildings.
Even the lobby of the Fox is incredible.
