    Hard to nail down. I'd say it's a toss up between Terminator, Terminator 2, and Wrath of Khan.

    The first Star Wars movie from 1977 was pretty good.

    The original Japanese Gojira is excellent (1954)
    Forbidden Planet
    The Thing from Another World (the original one)
    Crack in the World (British sci fi about scientists causing a crack in the Earth's crust)
    Quatermass and The Pit (1968) mind-blowing British sci fi movie
    The Wicker Man (original, uncut) insanely weird and great
    Repo Man (has some sci fi elements)
