The way it stands now Liberty will own Sirius/XM around the end of this month at the latest..

    So what happens next?

Howard's contract is eating up a ton of Sirius's bottom line..

While I am guessing that Liberty won't want to take on Howard directly at first look for them to cut his staff and fuck with him in other ways..

The H100 news trolls that hang out here may want to spend a little more time surfing I NEED a fucking job dot com

i wish they'd break up the cable company monopolies. they don't have fios in my area, i can't get satellite reception, i'm stuck with cablevision and they suck ass in every way. if there was competition maybe i'd get some decent service. hate those fucks

Back in the 80's they were worried about breaking up the monopoly because of the amount of telephone lines that could be added to the street posts. That was before dish satellites and such.

That's why CaTv contracted cities for x amount of years before the government regulated them. They didn't want to build the plant then be forced to share their plant with a competitor.

    :hat:

Give me a Red Shirt Captain...

I tried to think about this logically.. does Liberty fuck directly with Howard or do they fuck with his staff and force Stern

to share his own money (Think Leno) with his staff.... -pause while you laugh-

Expect the H100 and 101 to cut the fat.. well whats left rotting on the bone in this case

Red shirts are only for engineers & expendable security personel. For your insightful & logical analysis you've earned a blue shirt science officer!

They offer Howard a reduced buyout perhaps. And he's able to offer his services elsewhere immediately without a no-compete clause for the remaining years left on his contract . . .

It's an old phrase but it is probably best known from Mr. Burns on the Simpsons using it.

Howard's staff work for (and are paid by) Howard, not Sirius/XM.
