Finally cancelled my account today. I hung on because I liked listening to old Stern but now I relized I don't even want to give him that satisfaction. I told them the content sucks and I can't believe I spent twenty bucks a month on the garbage.

They tried everything in their power to keep me too. No chance they can keep Stern with losing subs left and right. They acted like it was a common occurance too.

Kinda sad but he did it to himself. Can't believe I liked this guy for so long...

Have seat with the rest of us, my good man. I cancelled 3 subs, myself. It's liberating. After a month goes by you'll wonder why the fuck you didn't do it sooner.

I think I was grandfathered into an older plan that they wanted to get people off of because, when I cancelled, they didn't bat an eye.

They said "Okay" and I was cancelled.

No high pressure sales, no retention offers, no follow up emails with deals, nothing.

I was able to mention that I was cancelling because of Stern but, they really didn't even care to hear that.

We cancelled too. They didn't care why we cancelled either. We had a very old plan.
They tried to keep us at a lower rate but there was no way that was going to happen.
    It's a beautiful thing indeed!!!

I cancelled about a year ago and they were calling every couple days for about a month. If it wasn't a sinking ship then, it definitely is now. He's gotta retire at the end of the year and put the once great show out of its misery. Unfortunately the ego has grown too big to just fade into obscurity.

Yeah I agree. I told them why would I pay for your service when I literally can get all of it on YouTube?

Congrats. You'll never miss it. But be prepared for endless email and snail mail trying to get you back.
And for the record Sirius still considers anyone a "subscriber" in their total and advertising numbers for 18 months after you cancel.

I stay at a low rate for music, sports and Jay Thomas, oh yeah to mock the wig. That is worth the few bucks.

The charged my credit card for my home Starmate receiver in June- That receiver was canceled years ago. Then they said they made a mistake and it was for my 2015 Ford Escape. I told them that I never wanted it after the free promotion. Peeps, check your credit cards, good thing I did.

What is hard to believe is that at one time, I had 4 subs going. I bought a lifetime in 2005 when Stern announced, and then I added 3 monthly subs to our vehicles. Once Stern started "pissing on" fans, I cancelled all the vehicles so all I have is the lifetime sportster unit in my office. I rarely listen though.

I predict Howie will return and keep things going as they are...for a less salary of course. He has no other options....and now that he got fired....I mean, uh, quit....AGT, he doesn't have much left.

I can hear it now "Robin, Sirius begged me to stay so I agreed to give them 2 more years....but after this contract, I am done for sure...I mean it Robin...I am just too busy"

Just find a buddy with a subscription and use his password to listen off the internet
That's what I do, there must be fifty of us using his password. I buy him a few pitchers everyonce in a while and he is fine

I cancelled my subscription in March I think, because my new car has it for free for a year. Plus the credit card they have on file is no longer good so they can't make a mistake and bill me for no reason lol
I don't even listen to Sirius really anymore. I use Pandora and my iPod all the time instead.
I get emails every day for deals and things they say I'm missing out on, but I'm missing out on nothing lol
