    LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
"About 80 first-graders found some eager listeners on Tuesday during a visit to the Animal Foundation.

The students from C.T. Sewell Elementary School and C.C. Ronnow Elementary School demonstrated their reading skills while dogs at the shelter listened. The visit was part of events to celebrate Nevada Reading Week."

Where are some of the teachers here? Is this done on a wide scale? This seems like a great idea on so many levels.

Yeah, I noticed that. It must be where the little boys are reading.

I had to wake up early for a conference call back east. Needed something to make me smile before the boring starts. Many thanks!

I've never seen it here in CPS, but if I were still in the classroom, I'd be all over it :)

My class always had human "reading buddies." :p

My kindergartners would pair up with second or third graders, and read to each other.

As long they're not reading Beth's book they are on a path to success and enlightenment.

Real great idea to coddle these kids. /sarcasm

They read to dogs because the dogs "can't judge them" for reading mistakes. Maybe if little Johnny was told he was a dumb fuck and couldn't read properly, this country wouldn't be in the state it is in now.
