Holy Fuck...listen to his weeezing...
Well......I have to say that I was pretty damn impressed with Arthur's performance. The show overall was alright and I will continue to watch. The baby gorilla is getting a lot of praise for his work....and I must say he deserves it.
I'll give it a shot tonight. Tempered expectations. As much as he trumps his madtv/norm run he is a mid-level comedic actor. Which is why he peaked on howard just riffing as himself. However if that is the essence of the role maybe it will work. Sidebar: was Judd's casting of him also a deliberate FU to wiggy?
I liked it
the series is really funny, hope it lasts a long time, lots of comics to have on it

Judd & Pete called me last night w news we got a second season. We're ecstatic! Crashing has been another amazing chapter for me! Thx u fans
Congrats, you Baby Gorilla! Well deserved.
Artie has never really been part of a successful show-biz project as a the leading guy or second lead, so this is really big for him. He's mentioned a few times on the podcast in jest that he would truly be thought of as a Hollywood jink if this would happen to fail. Hopefully this leads to more.
I bet Judd is waiting for Artie to fall off the wagon so he can integrate some of Artie's struggles into the show. Just a theory. It would make for some really riveting stuff. Imagine if the show would have been filming during Artie's Pittsburgh relapse last year. That story about his girlfriend grinding up glass and how it accidentally got into his blow would have never been concocted, because we would have a more realistic view of his latest downfall.
Here is the variety story about the renewal...
What are the odds Artie is even in Season 2?
Judd calling to let him know they got a second season doesn't necessarily mean Artie's involved. They might have just been thanking him for being involved in the show's success.
This latest tweet doesn't seem too celebratory.
In related news: Artie is scheduled for a two-night four-show run in St. Louis this weekend. How many of the four does Partie Lange make?
Great to hear that Judd commented in support of Artie immediately after Artie tweeted that he'd understand if HBO had to let him go.
