Nothing wrong with that.
Except we've heard all the bits already. Every "special", every "TWIHH", and "SSS" has played them all. And IMO, they really don't stand up to the test of time.
I agree. We've heard 'em all - and a lot of it is quite cringe-worthy.
Who knows some of the specials we get are filled with something new. It's all a coin toss with SSS, but with Mammary Lane and This Week in Howard History, a majority of selected segments are actually not the same shit we've heard before.
Well, it will be 4 days of content, with a "Best Of" on Friday. And you know goddamn well the whole, "Man, Dude" debacle will be playing every time you turn the channel on. Blech.
little did anyone know that Howard meant the revolution of 1776 when he asked us to join it
I never did get the appeal of Sam on the show. Gave me a friggin' headache.
Sam and Jessica-radio gold
Sam and any other trashy whore -radio coal
Sam was edgy back then is my guess.
Please god just don't play the Sam tirbute song that Fred wrote...god awful!
Count me in the pro-Sam camp, though it has all been heard time and time again.
Why not a vintage Gilbert week?
Or better yet (though it'll never happen) an Alison week?
I still wanna know the real reason she's been erased. I'm not fully convinced it was part of the divorce agreement, as she wasn't completely edited out until they digitized the tapes at Sirius. She was still referenced in "Best of" all the way up to December 2005.
Oh man, forgot about that travesty.
i second that - its embarrassing.
Whatever happened to that youtube video where Sam is being interviewed and trashes Howard? It seems to have vanished.
Howard's lawyers probably got wind of it lol
Worse than "Dear Rodney"?
You know they will. So douchechilling. I started a thread about it once.
Sam seemed like an interesting guy but he seemed like such a raging asshole with Jessica. He always was so below-the-belt and vicious with anger. Usually came off like a bitter, angry jerk.
Even in the Bobcat fight, Sam blamed everyone else for his career. (Bob apparently took all Sam's screaming roles, meanwhile Sam was bragging about his never-made Crocodile Dundee rip-off Eskimo movie.) Meanwhile Bobcat went on to direct some classic black comedies.
Maybe you weren't that great, Sam. Unique delivery but let's face it, one trick pony.
An entire week? SK was fine in very small doses. And I agree, a lot of it doesnt hold up...
Sam had some good jokes, but like Dice, his comedy didn't really stand the test of time. I can go back and watch Eddie Murphy's first two standup movies and I laugh like it's the first time I've seen them. Same with Bill Cosby "Himself," Richard Pryor "Live on the Sunset Strip" ... you get the picture. The only two bits of Sam's that I still find funny are the necrophiliac bit (IT NEVER ENDSS!! AHHHHH!!!) and Jesus's home life.
