The Senate rejects the bipartisan amendment to expand gun background checks.

do you think the NYS police decision to confiscate guns of people on prescribed Valium as a psychoactive drug could possibly have influenced their decision? nah

nah. wont make a difference. 2 million kids could die and it doesn't change anything.

the main objection is the implication that gun owners are by definition bad and defective people that need registration (like sex offenders) and need to prove that they are normal (like child molesters) and that the rest of the population has to know where gun owners live and who they are so they can decide if they are good enough to be their neighbors, send their kids to the same schools, eat in the same restaurants, etc.

you really should be against this provision in the gun control attempts because should it pass, you are next. suppose they decide that people who don't live in cities are defective and untrustworthy to be around. suppose its people who drive Toyotas who are inferior and we need a public list of them so you can decide if you want to allow them into your kid's schools?

this has already happened: do you recall the newspaper that decided to publish the names and addresses of registered gun owners who did nothing illegal, did nothing abnormal or unusual other than decide to legally own and register a gun?

gun owners are as good and normal as anyone else. anything that denies that gun owners are no different than anyone else, should not pass, and will not pass.

When they came for the Jews I did nothing, because the Jews pretty much deserve whatever happens to them :fil:

that's the basic assumption: gun owners are bad people simply because they want to legally own guns.

suppose next it is people who wear hoodies and eat skittles who are assumed to be criminals?

    nah that could never happen?

Unlike Tray Tray I would never bring a hoodie and skittles to a gunfight.

If Tray had won it would have signaled a monumental legal right turn: death by skittles.
