    That was good - I saw the second Gasland documentary on HBO and then watched the first one. I had heard of fracking before but didn't know too much about it as there's none going on in my area.

    That is disturbing. We have some of the best water in the world and we are fucking it up.

    Yes this happens with the water. Gas companies are responsible and I warn people as they are buying up the mineral rights around here like crazy. People are getting bad deals,some good. A friend has about 250 acres that he sold the rights, and once the wells were in place,which wasn't much at all as far as hurting the looks of anything (depends on the drilling) all the family who built do not have a gas bill to pay. Free heat, gas stove,dryer saves $$, but one must be careful what they sign. On a small scale,as like in a water well, my neighbor had one and didn't have a heating bill his entire life. His daughter lives there now and it is still working. I imagine thousands of dollars have been saved over the years. Drill baby drill....just do it right
