After Howard unveiled his hilarious new Flat Ronnie prototype at Friday night's gala for Bianca's Furry Friends -- -- @The Bloody Nine suggested we make our own version. I'd like to introduce you to Flat Howie, a shixteen-inch tall, Shtarbucksh-loving, rock 'n' roll Mod Podger and part-time zookeeper. He's even got his own Instagram account, @flathowie: flathowieWho has time to sit and drink their Shtarbucksh? Flat Howie has too many important meetings to get to! #howardstern#flathowie@sternshow flathowieHis Mod Podge instructor says he's the besht student she's ever had. #howardstern#flathowie@sternshow flathowieRockers like Flat Howie are always on the lookout for the hottest new bands. #howardstern#flathowie@sternshow Here's how you can make your own. If you have access to an 11" x 17" printer, you can simply print this template: If you're using an 8.5" x 11" printer -- like I did -- then you'll want to print these two files: Trim Flat Howie at the bottom of his jacket, getting rid of the white strip of paper that borders it. (Don't do any other cutting yet.) Then glue his top onto his bottom, lining them up as best you can. After that dries, glue it to your backing material and trim. I used black 1/4" foam core, which is sturdy but difficult to cut. You'll want to change your blades frequently. My photo paper scratched easily, so I filled in the scuffs with pen and marker. Once it was trimmed and inked, I coated it in Mod Podge. (I was embarrassed to buy it at the store.) To make him stand up on his own, I cut a cork drink coaster in half and made some slits down the middle. Make your own Flat Howie and post pics of his adventures here. I'll add them to the Flat Howie Instagram account!
