    for your dog?

I've been using Interceptor for heartworm, and Advantage for fleas and ticks. I've been seeing the ads for Trifexis, which claims to control it all. :dog:

Thinking about a change, anyone try it?

We just started Lennon on her first dose of Trifexis. Our vet recommended it.

it saves me $20, over using the two different medicines. I think I'll give it a try once I finish up the Interceptor

Duke reacted very badly to Trifexis last year. Vomiting, lethargy. He was very sick. He is back on Frontline. All these drugs are very powerful pesticides, I wish I didn't have to give them to him, but there isn't much alternative.

Yeah, I've used Trifexis. it does not prevent fleas, it just stops their eggs, for flea prevention I use food grade diatamaceous earth and lavender oil.

Oh, wow! Poor Duke, that sucks! At this point, I don't think she's had a negative reaction to it but that's something to keep an eye out for. She's also been on two other medications for roundworm (almost done with that one) and one for coccacidia (sp) that was a 3 day powder in her food.

You don't. search online, if you live in a cold climate a dog cannot get heartworm if it gets above 67 degrees. You really only need it every 3 months. It doesn't prevent heartworm, it's a treatment.

Have you gotten your polio or smallpox vaccine this year? It's a scam to make money to vaccinate your dog every year with the same vaccine over and over and bad for them. Vets are pet medication salesmen.

The bad thing is, it wasn't his first treatment. It was like the 4th.

    I don't have a dog.

And maybe you should try a shower and change your sheets.

Advantage for the cats. Sparingly though- that shit's not good for them.

Revolution. Flea/tick/heartworm combo. With a prescription can get it at Costco or Drs Foster & Smith (online) for best prices. No issues with Jackie taking it.

Comfortis - Its an oral medication for fleas and a little spendy but works incredibly well for dogs with flea allergies :grad:
