Miami feud over homeless people leads to publication of ‘poop map’ BY Deborah Hastings NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Saturday, May 16, 2015, 1:16 PM Miami DDA The Miami Downtown Development Authority released this guide to the city’s open-air human toilets. A tax-funded Florida marketing firm at war with the city's homeless population has published a map for tourists that shows every location in downtown Miami where human feces and urine have been found. The so-called "poop map," complete with emoticons of smiling piles of excrement, is the latest salvo in a battle between the Downtown Development Authority and the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust over what to do about the hundreds of homeless and their attendant sanitation issues. "Where do 600 people go to the bathroom every day? Well, here's a map to show you where 600 people go to the bathroom every day," said authority chairman Marc Sarnoff, according to the Miami Herald.
