BY Deborah Hastings NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Tuesday, February 3, 2015, 6:48 PM WKMG Florida’s Sherry Morden hugs her grandson after his mother was arrested in September for making him wear a dress and makeup as punishment. On Tuesday, prosecutors said no charges would be filed in the case. The mother of a 10-year boy in Florida won't be charged with child abuse for forcing her boy to wear makeup and a princess dress, despite being arrested for it, authorities said. There was no evidence the boy suffered substantial harm from the actions of mom Christle Prado and her roommate and landlord, Keith Driscoll, WKMG-TV reported. The boy, who can be seen crying in shame on a video, was made to wear a long, dress-up costume and face makeup in December as punishment for wetting himself, the mother said. Orange County Jail No child abuse charges will be filed against Christle Prado and Keith Driscoll after they forced the boy to wear a dress as punishment for soiling himself, Florida prosecutors said Tuesday. The child's incontinence was caused by a physical condition, police said. Police in Wintergarden were given photographs showing the boy dressed up like a girl. Neighbors said he was forced to run around the yard dressed like that while others laughed and made fun of him, according to police. Neighbors said there had been previous abuse incidents involving the boy and two siblings. Child welfare authorities said they could not comment on previous investigations, but added the child is still in protective custody with relatives.
