Why do some many cities like Dallas, Houston, Indy, etc have great indoor stadiums but the Jets/Giants combined can't afford a nice domed stadium?

The stadium is in New Jersey not New York.

It's fucking hot in Texas, hence the indoor stadiums.

MetLife stadium is like a cold toilet bowl to me. Just gray and dreary. No football atmosphere to it. They just put up a few green or blue colors and lights depending on who's playing. It's like Yankee Stadium. Just a grey concrete bowl. Even as a Yank fan, I like CitiField way better. But, just me. :dontknow:

Not to make it political but, let's make it political

Start with who did Texas and Indiana vote for in the last presidential election?

    How bout New York?

When your taxes support people who can't contribute to society, well you don't get to have a good looking stadium

Football was meant to be played outside by men.

Impressive! Yet, so wasteful. Though my team is certainly no better. (HTTR!)

Really though, that argument only goes down the road to the fact that New York is the center of the free world and Indiana or Texas just aren't important. So your argument doesn't hold any water.

Not just you. MetLife is awful. Zero atmosphere. Yankee Stadium is just as bad. There is no buzz whatsoever. CitiField is nicer but has it's drawbacks too. Nothing like Shea, Nassau Coliseum when the Islanders were winning or the 'old' Garden before the Dolans turned it into a rich-man's dream.

Au contraire, New York is also the capital of liberalism In a capitalist society

The liberal facet and politics in New York are undeniable, I think we can agree on that

No way are you going to get tax dollars allocated for a potential revenue raising project versus social help in a liberal state

    More conservative, fiscally minded states?

You are going to find more 'ayes' when the votes are cast for projects that will generate additional revenues and commerce
