A trio of hospitality honchos including Steven Kamali, a former owner of the Surf Lodge in Montauk, has put the trendy Capri Hotel, known for its star-studded pool parties and trendy BLT steakhouse, on the market for $5.2 million, the Daily News has learned. For one wealthy investor, this is a chance to own one of the hippest hangouts on the East End. The hotel was formerly home to the Southampton outpost of high-end eatery Nobu and to a boutique store owned by designer Cynthia Rowley. Nobu was swapped out for BLT last year. A broker for the property said interest in the Capri is through the roof. "We only put the property on the market yesterday and we already have three showings scheduled for today. It's off the hook," said Anthony Cerio of brokerage Brown Harris Stevens, who is listing the property with Mitchel Natter. Kamali and his partners, David Edelstein, and Jackie Mansfield of the W South Beach in Miami, snapped up the former 1970s motorcourt, which used to be home to the Pink Elephant nightclub, in 2011. They previously put the hotel on the market last year as part of a larger package of Southampton hotel properties, including the Bentley, a 40-room hotel on 2.6 acres at 161 Hills Station Rd., and the Atlantic Hotel, a 62-room property on 4.6 acres at 1655 County Rd. The package of properties was listed for $20 million by another brokerage. They seem more eager than ever to make a deal for the Capri, however. "The location does not get any better than this," Cerio boasted. "You have to past this hotel to go anywhere in Southampton or Water Mill. There's no getting around it." Kamali was not immediately available for comment.
