I left a company in 2013; the company was called Airgas (insert joke here). I had been contributing to the stock purchase plan as well as a stock option plan. When I left the company I took all the money and rolled it into a 401k, with my new company thinking ok...over and done. Well, AirLiquide purchased Airgas last year and paid a premium on the company. I noted at the time that I should have left my money there, etc. Well, I got a note from ETrade last week saying I had a few stock options that I hadn't been able to execute because the two year holding period hadn't expired from when I purchased them in 2011, 2012 and 2013 . I'd forgotten about them. So, I called up and Etrade, thinking oh, well, a few hunddy or something. When they told me the real number I tried to be cool and stuff, because it was a shitload more than I would have dreamed. And I don't even care if this comes across as bragging or humblebragging or whatever. I am one happy Reggie at this point. Best Thursday ever!
