Has butt bongo and The rotten new years eve special on it. Holy crap how funny was Daniel carver in butt bongo "guess who's the Jew" and when they rank the races. Wish they were in better condition. New years eve special is pretty much unwatchable due to wear on the tape. The Michael Jackson skit was hysterical. Anyone remember these?

There was some guy on SFN that had all of the Channel 9 shows on dvd and was selling them. I forgot how much they were but I was going to buy a copy but then Mutt pulled his "prank".

Most of those were uncomfortably bad, in my humble opinion.

Yeah - I remember them. I have a decent setup for digitizing VHS tapes. Anything of value I once had on VHS is now safely on my PC (and backed up on various optical media).

I have both original VHS Butt Bongo and Rotten Eve, and a dozen or more vids with 6-8 hours of E-shows. For a long time, I didn't have cable when the e-show started, so my cousin would set his VCR everyday to record them for me. I bet they are all snow now??

I also have quite a few of the CH9 show rips on file.

All depends how often you used them and how you stored. While we thought it was ridiculous at the time, it turns out rewinding your tapes was important. Tapes I left in mid-reel have now developed creases where I let them sit for years, and now have trouble going past those marks without ruining the tape. In addition, large chunks of my VHS collection were kept in a storage unit in the cold until I could afford to ship them to my new warmer home. By contrast, I have a friend with literally 30-YEAR-OLD tapes that he finished recording on and never rewound from the end. They all run fine because they were only spun once, and have sat on a climate-controlled shelf since.

I may or may not have all the Channel 9 shows which may or may not have been downloaded years ago. I honestly haven't watched them - I couldn't get E! where I lived when the shows were originally on.

I bought them all years ago. The quality is awful even for a VHS transfer but they're watchable enough. I remember in the early days of ebay I got them all on VHS and lost them to a flooded basement. Can't remember where I got the DVDs but they seemed to be transfers of the same videos. I'd love to find some high quality versions that are easier to watch. Some of those bits were outrageous.

I'm embarrassed to say that I paid for New Years Rotten Eve on PPV. Howard was pretty good back then. Still married to Alison, Jackie was going strong. If you were a fan in 1994 you know why you hate him today.

No doubt... And imagine if you were fan in 1984!

One thing I didn't see-- because I was just a kid-- but was always curious if there was tape was of Howard's Club Bene live shows... They probably sucked but the energy of a train wreck could be compelling too.
