    i haven't paid much attention to the story, but i suppose that it is possible.
    like the video shows, when strata is fractured, methane begins migrating. and depending on the porosity, permeability and composition of the rocks above, as well as in the reservoir itself, that methane can eventually find it's way into the water table. the o & g companies do their best to prevent such an occurrence.
