Baby Snakes full movie:
Frank Zappa on the Mike Douglas Show.....
I always liked this song because of its autobiographical nature, from a time when I think he was a little less jaded.
Wow that was a great clip!
If you like Zappa and Captain Beefheart, I would suggest seeing the movie "Frank" on Netflix.
I wish Mike Douglas could have talked him into quitting smoking or getting check out.
Funny Frank was so against drugs, firing Flo & Eddy for snorting coke off Lincoln's desk, but he couldn't stop his own addiction.
Whatever, the guy was a force of nature, maybe if he didn't smoke and wasn't so manically obsessed, he would not have made all the great music or played guitar like that. But he is one dude, I would have liked to see still living.
He totally called the "iTunes" situation years before Steve Jobs.
I don't have Netflix but I will try to find it
Oh yeah, I liked it. It was like they combined the stories of Zappa, Beefheart and daniel johnston into one character which is cool cause I dig all three.
"Coco-cola lipstick Ringo, dance all night, dance all night, I've got dancing legs." that's pretty likable right there
he loved to smoke.i don't think anybody could stop him he smoked until he died.
My favorite album is Joe's Garage it was also the first one I was introduced too
The back of the bathroom door in my college apartment.
Well, he died from prostate cancer which I'm pretty sure you don't get from smoking. He also told an interviewer that he got regular checks but it was missed. Saw him 1981 in Albany. Fantastic show...
Fastbender was awesome. The most likeable song ever!
Yeah I like how the main character thought the guy was weird for wearing the paper mache head but he was the weirdo wearing the fake head of a musician when he really wasn't,he was just a desk jockey who could maybe do social media. A cancer to the nuclei of the band.
Was that Mark Maron as the road manager?
"Frank said there is something precious about you. Or maybe he said something perishable"
Truly creative people are like little ions they find each other no matter what and you just can't will yourself to be one or not one.
a song about Howard Stern
