What do you think of him?
I often catch myself singing this
He is kind of a big jerk.
And the music he picks before the show starts is harrible.
Favorite person on show
sometimes I listen for him but then don't hear him
He's literally a genius
Met the entire stern show, minus Howard at a concert for Krock in the late 90's. The only 2 who were cool with the fans were Jackie and Fred.
While I'm sure he is a bright enough guy, I don't believe he is as intelligent as he tries to come across as. He just has a way with sounding so sure and confident with stuff he says that you just take what he says at face value.......and like Howard, his "vast knowledge" of bands doesn't seem to extend beyond a bands hits/most popular songs. That being said, I am sure he is a genuinely nice and friendly person, has probably been very smart with his money, and he doesn't seem phony or fake to me
I always liked him. I wonder how he gets along with Howard. I have a feeling they don't socialize or talk to each other than show business.
There was a lot of speculation on this board that Fred and his wife split up - she stopped showing up at show-related social functions, etc. Was that ever confirmed or are they still together?
Emotionally damaged, bullying, transfers his frustration at having to yes-man Howard to make a good living into abuse of others if he ever speaks at all. Wound up very tight, would probably have killed someone by now if not for getting the good gig. Creatively dead now. Slavish "loyalty" to Howard masks severe resentments of him. Well-read more than highly intelligent, though he isn't dumb. Probably due to his lonely life where books were his entertainment.
Will be divorced, if not already, within a year or two of the end of the HSS.
Stuttering John was my hero when he called "Crazy' Fred outside when Fred tried that tough guy routine on him........Fred sat his ass right down and pouted.........
It was over that "Tony and Tina's" Wedding thingy........That was a classic Gunky turning on one of his supposed "Friends"...............SJ might be alot of things.....
But coward ain't one.................
He was never funny. He would just slide in a comment from time to time while funny stuff was going on, so it could seem like he was being funny, but nothing he's ever said has stood on its own.
The show taking a nosedive when Jackie left proved to me how useless Fred is outside of sound fx and Rainbow Rooms.
Big fucking baby.
Can dish it out but can't take it.
you mean Eric right?
Made a 30+ year career out of pressing buttons.
Possibly the luckiest SOB in show business. He seems like a nice enough guy but I cannot imagine dealing with his mercurial personality. The guy snaps the moment there is any disagreement with his position. I also don't like how he joined the groupthink by turning on Jackie.
