To the handful of real life friends i have on this message board, the following will not come as a surprise to you - you know how much music means to me. While surfing different music related sites on YouTube tonight, I happend to find several videos and documentaries on the life of the great Freddie Mercury. After viewing the making of his final video, i feel strongly compelled to make a few points: I don't care that he was gay; He was one of the all time greatest performers - i respect and appreciate his talent and art; I believe it is wrong to automatically disregard or marginalize those that may be different than you; I'm very happily heterosexual - and after i saw the following video, i wish i could give him a hug, and tell him that he is very much loved for all the joy and happiness he had created for millions of people throughout the world, during his all too short life. Hugs are very cathartic... I really don't know where all of this is coming from, but i'm glad to have the opportunity to say my piece. Just like other gifted artists, there will never be another Freddie Mercury! The plaque reads, "to be always near you with all my love M." Longue vie de Freddie Mercury!
