I know most people listen via podcast/watch on DirecTV, but I figured I'd throw this up in case.
[h=2]Norwegian Gay Day? GaryPage2 has a national holiday?[/h]
I led with that purposely to get some more interest in this forum!
I'll be around, though I'm about to go outside to grill up some burgers to go with the beer.
Tonight! Comedian Ian Edwards. From “Boomer and Carton”, radio host Craig Carton. Cooking in our DIRECTV studios kitchen, Head Chef Seth Levine. Reverend Ian Punnett and music from Fort Frances!
How often does Dan Patrick use the studio? When the show first moved there they referred to it as the "Nick and Artie Studio" but they started just saying Directv studios awhile back. Artie's show spends the most time there, they should at least give him the honor.
Does the Audience Network have ratings? I bet the Artie Lange show is the most watched show on that channel.
I've looked before and couldn't find any without paying for a subscription service, but there was an article in Variety recently that said DirecTV wasn't seeing returns on all of their exclusive shows (meaning those high production cost dramas) and was going to axe all of them. The only show not mentioned (and to survive the purge) was Artie's, so it can't be doing that bad.
Damn, they're asking for Hanzi to call in. Someone needs to tweet him and let him know.
I'd rather tweet him and tell him he's a goddamn douche.
I enjoy Hanzi on the show, and find it hilarious he told Howard to fuck off when he wouldn't pay him any real money to do a H101 show.
"can u spank my stones and squirt Squirt in my face "
"do u have anything hard i can put in my mouth,........ i'm a horny naughty boy"
"Laid us on the bed and pulled our pants down" Christ I thought we were going to hear something really horrible right then
Artie bursts out laughing at the mere mention of "Jets fans"...
From what I understand Dan Patrick uses Artie's studio on Monday mornings only
Carton to Ritchie: "Jon, you're allowed to talk."
Ritchie just sits there. Artie tries to cover for him.
Carton to Ritchie: "Jon, what is your goal here. What are you looking to do with your career?"
Ritchie: "I don't really have goals in life."
The whole exchange struck me as Carton wondering what many of us who watch or listen to the show are wondering: why in the hell is Ritchie the co-host?
He was known for having a massive ego at ESPN, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked for the studio name change. He refers to it as the "New York Man Cave" on his show. But yeah, he uses it whenever NBC Sports/Football Night in America requires him to be in NY.
Carton is a good example of a guy who knows his role as the serious sports guy/second bananna on a show (in relation to Boomer Esiason). So if he feels the same way we do, I guess we're not too far off.
I personally find Bocchetti amusing still. But, like many of you, I feel like Artie goes to him way too much. But, he probably feels like he has to, because the co-host he has brings little to the table and can't or doesn't come up with topics to discuss. The whole Ritchie getting hired as the co-host thing confuses me so much. It's like they're doing a favor for someone. But, I worry it's going to hurt the show down the road. Glad to see someone who, as you said Sam, knows his role as the second banana and who has been successful in the business wondering just what the hell Ritchie does on the show and what he wants to do with his career.
what is up with all the guests tonight, plus a chef and a band? it's like watching rachel ray.
Ritchie's days on this show are numbered. I like him on the show but he just doesn't fit in.
I don't know, I'm still waiting for Hanzi...
