I don't know that its funny but he is (was) a shithead.

EDIT: And btw, don't you get the reference here...anytime Robin would announce someone's death as part of the news, Jackie would laugh.

That and Arlen Specter is a shithead.

He's a dishonest asshole that would do anything to get reelected so he retains his position of power. This includes asking Bush to stump for him to win election, then 6 years later, deciding he's not a conservative just to try to win election.

He's an asshole of the highest order.

Ah, Jackie.....Robin's news just isn't the same without him. Wish Brian Williams or Diane Sawyer would hire Jackie to
laugh about tragedies on their nightly new shows!

No principles, all about power, jumped ship when the wind blew the other way, and would have jumped back if he could have found a way when it changed just 2 years later.

    Pretty much your standard politician.

he didn't change his positions.(the guy you are voting for changed far more positions than arlen) he changed party because otherwise he would have lost. it was a tactical move, not a principle change. why does it matter what letter is next to the name anyways

    Good riddance.

That piece of shit was a symbol of all that is wrong with politics

Glad to see that his final two campaigns ended with the republicans telling him to fuck off and then the democrats telling him to do the same.

    This. 100%

Fuck him. He lived a good long life and WE paid for it. So I have no problem with us being the ones to say good riddance.

Oh come the fuck on. He told Tim Russert that he was against a public health care option and changed his mind less than 60 days later. You can't be serious, man. When the Democrats embraced him, he played ball!

i don't disagree with your point. i didn't like that either, but that's just 1 issue. he's voted with the democrats many times before that also. in general over 35 years, i respected how he voted as an independent, even when i disagreed with him. the guy that replaced him blindly votes with his party no matter what, he's useless.
i can name 5+ mitt flips for every 1 arlen flip, and no one's calling him names.

No one's calling Mitt names? I make sure to let everybody know that he's a piece of shit every time I comment. Mitt is a true politician in every aspect...the moral antithesis of somebody like, say, Ron Paul...who'll take a huge hit because he sticks to his principles.

I'll give credit to Specter for not being a GOP zombie, but when registered PA Republicans wanted to be done with him, he jumped into the Big D ready and willing to bend over backwards a bit for their support. I have no respect for that. Just as I have no respect for Rand for giving his endorsement to Romney in return for party approval. Arlen might not have been the worst offender out there, but he deserves to be called out on his bullshit. He was the one who pandered to strangers for money and votes in order to keep his status as 1% of the United States Senate.

i agree with every word you said. maybe arlen did sell out, i had just stopped following politics hardcore then. maybe that vote was for the backing.
most of the people mad at arlen for switching, are voting mitt.
i didn't even know rand did that. that's surprisingly sad :(
i'm so glad i quit politics

Oh shit, Rand gave Mitt a lukewarm endorsement and people went apeshit. Myself including. People finally woke up to the fact that Rand isn't his old man.

I still prefer him to most other Repubs (save a select few) but Paul supporters and Libertarians, for the most part, gave up on him being the next main man in the liberty movement.

I was a bit bummed that Ron Paul didn't officially endorse Gary Johnson. Then I saw Johnson on Fox talking about how he wants to go into Africa to get Kony and the LRA. Fuck that shit...looks like I'm writing in Ron even though it won't count in my state.
