Did she call him in prison? Isn't the guy a convincted felon? I forgot the charge - some kind of criminal malpractice?
It seems like the deeper Beth sucked Howard into the relationship, the more defensive he got. Earlier on he could allow a few jokes about the subject, but it became so real that the entire topic got banned completely (outside of ridiculously phony compliments and praise). And what are the chances the "bet" story is even true? Beth was at a high end store laughing about being able to spend someone else's money. Sounds like Howard came up with another lie to try and desperately avoid admitting the truth - somehow "earned" the money she was spending so she wasn't taking advantage of him, and all the laughter was about some "cute" little incident rather than Beth laughing at him. I don't believe this story for a second.
That has been erased from Howard history.
His a master of telling bullshit storys that's for sure.
Once a silly joke, then it became the unspeakable reality!
Sal nailed it, I'm actually surprised he never lost his job at some point. I'm sure Howard laid down the law along the way, especially after the Horse jokes at the roast.
I've noticed Sal only rips on Lisa G nowadays, never even mentions Beth.
He made a three thousand dollar bet with Beth? In 2003? She ain't Artie Lange, dummy. Anything to avoid admitting he's a duped sugar daddy, I suppose.
It was always the unspeakable reality. Now it is just more prominent now that Howard is spending money like a drunken sailor.
Some kind of medicare or medicaid fraud I think.
I didn't know Beth kept a diary.
I've listened to this 25 times. It's one of the funniest things I've ever heard.
I bet this was at the suggestion of some self help seminar or tv show. "Successful people keep journals"
There's truth in this prophesy.
Might just be a fake call used to set up the sal phone call bit.
It's the first time I'm hearing that call. It's almost shocking to me..... Which says a lot about how far the show has fallen. No chance that bit ever shows up on a replay.
He says Beth said to him, "Men are saps".
Howard: "We were watching For Love or Money."
Even funnier is not only has she suckered him into marriage and his millions, but she also took him for $3,000 here.
