Agreed. And remember how he pounced on Nancy for seeing a counselor to get over her grief? I'll bet Beff the Angel ends up going to talk to someone & Howchie will say how evolved she is for doing so.
He addressed this on the show. He basically said he didn't know what the fuck he was talking about. He has evolved...
He didn't evolve he just said what he said to make his fortune and fame. And now that he has it he wants to enjoy with those he trampled on in the process . . .
There's a great scene at the end of "Annie Hall", or maybe it's "Manhattan", where Woody confronts the dude played by the Roberts dude, I forget his first name (Tony?), and tells him that he's too easy on himself. The Roberts dude admits to a fault then quickly moves on. That's Howard in a nutshell: he'll be a scumbag about something for 15 years, then apologize for it for 2 seconds and consider the matter completely resolved. I don't know if it works like that.
D List Caller John from Philly summed it up best when he told Howard, "waaaaaaaa now get on with the show!"
i hope his ass explodes before AND after he dies...all over Beth...and i hope he dies before he gets to tell her where all the marbles are buried.
