Don't have the balls to hold a vote on "Immigration Reform" before the filing deadline to run in next years elections has passed.
The know the country doesn't want this so they are rigging the vote so that it will pass and their will be no consequences until 2016 at the earliest, by then we're fucked.

[h=1]SOURCES: BOEHNER TELLS TEXAS BUSINESS INTERESTS THAT IMMIGRATION REFORM VOTES WILL BE HELD AFTER FILING DEADLINES HAVE PASSED[/h][h=1]Fear of Tea Party challenges has the Speaker holding off for now, sources say
An aggressive timeline for passing comprehensive immigration reform may become a reality based on two significant developments on Capitol Hill.
One of them is that House Speaker John Boehner has hired an Immigration Policy Director who has deep experience in overhaul efforts. The other is that in recent weeks, various Texas business interests have told Quorum Report that Boehner has been telling them that he will start holding immigration votes not long after the filing deadline has passed. This, of course, runs counter to conventional wisdom that says immigration votes in the House will have to wait until 2014.

You do realize the Republicans love illegal immigrant labor, right?

The GOP has been booting out Republicans who thought otherwise for years. Pat Buchanan, Ross Perot. . . .

Here's a great piece, old now, from Edward Abbey, a great environmentalist, who was excoriated by the Left for coming out against not only illegal immigration, but immigration in general. He was so fucking right.

Anyone that titles a thread "filing republicans/democrats" should be treated like the mentally incapable child that they are.

how again are we fucked if we don't grant amnesty to 10% of the population that isn't here legally?

Remember when Halliburton was subcontracting to repair New Orleans post Katrina, then the employers deported all of them?

The R loves the cheap labor, the L loves the cheap, easy to dupe, voting blocks. Win/Win, except for the American worker who....wait for it, loses again.

Two wings of the same bird.

Agree 1000% with the first sentence.

However, although I'm not for amnesty, how are we f*cked if we do? They are already here using all our resources anyways. It's not as if they are leaving if they don't get amnesty.
The only thing that changes is they get on the books. Then maybe they can start paying tax, and then maybe we can deport the active criminals.
The key for me is to seal the border. If that is included in the bill, I'm for amnesty all day.
If it's not included, then congress needs to schedule a new amnesty bill vote everyday forever.

who but these illegal immigrants will pick our vegetables, and our tobacco, and our wine grapes? anyone here willing to work for those wages under such shit conditions? I doubt it...we need those people to do the, I'm sorry, grunt work in america, so if they must be here, they should pay taxes and contribute to Social Security.... Republicans are just afraid the more of them, the more votes for Democrats....

Oh wow, you are going to take a STAND on the thing where someone is starting threads called "fucking Republicans."

Just admit that they are YOUR party. And don't give me this shit, "ooohhhhh, they aren't the REAL conservatives."

LOL, been hearing that shit forever. Where were you "real" conservatives when W was in office? Seriously. If there were SO many "principled" conservatives out there, W would not have been re-nominated in '04.

    Pu-lease.

Those workers in the field are not working legally. I don't mean their status, but I mean the conditions in which they are working, the wages they receive, etc.

The illegal immigrants are a way for farmers, particularly agri-biz, to circumvent labor laws.

Which is another thing the Dems don't talk about. . . . party of the working man, my ass.
