I lost over 1G today gambling. Have you ever lost or won a lot gambling?
In college when I turned 21 I went to a nearby casino and was playing blackjack. I won $200. The next day I had urges to gamble so bad I went back to the casino. Lost the $200 and another $100 on top of that. I learned really quickly that I have an obsessive nature and can't gamble. I found out the same about alcohol and don't drink either.
Yes, in the stock market. That times 500.
I raise my younger sister, so I don't gamble or really get the choice to. When she raised and out the door, I'll gamble .
I think most I have lost is like $25 betting a football game with a friend or something, when I was younger. I did however bet a friend $100 that the last seeded LA Kings would make the Stanley Cup finals in 2012. They did and won. I should've bet that in Vegas. Would've got great odds.
I lived in Vegas for years and never really enjoyed gambling - I rarely ever won. The most I won or lost was a few hundred, then I'd get bored and move along.
There are some hardcore addicts though! Of course there are people in the casinos, but people will even play the slots at the grocery store in the middle of the night. Some of them gamble away their food money and never make it inside...it's sad.
I bet you I can get you gambling before the end of today.
I play craps..go once a year maybe…to CT or Atlantic City. However I suck at betting in the Vcash forum.
I'll bet you $1K that TLD neg reps me and calls me a cunt within the next 24 hours...
You are so right Chuk…I made some $$ back in the day (AOL, Lucent) but these days it is questionable.
Well the other day here I got called out as being one the the two biggest "shit talkers" and "bullies" on the Stern forum along with TLD. So, watch your step with here D. Maybe put a bet on me.
(CNN) -- A California man who lost $500,000 at blackjack and pai gow is suing a new Las Vegas casino, alleging he was too drunk to be allowed to gamble over a 17-hour period just before Super Bowl weekend.
Mark A. Johnston of Ventura, California, is claiming he shouldn't have to pay the Downtown Grand Las Vegas Hotel & Casino the $500,000 debt because employees served him so much alcohol that he suffered a blackout and was unable to remember the losses or even his gambling, the lawsuit alleges.
In an interview Thursday with CNN, Johnston contended he was plied with liquor and victimized in an old-time hustle.
Man suing casino over $500K bill
"Just picture a drunk walking the street and he's drunk, and someone pickpockets and takes his money from him. That's how I characterize it," Johnston said. "I feel like it's the days of old Vegas, the way they've been extorting me with letters and attorneys."
I might neg rep you for that butterface avatar
Oh c'mon Boomer! .......
Seriously dude? I'm a hetero chick…and I even think LT's avatar is super hot.
Oh cmon. Big ol'fake boobies with a fake tan and her face looks oily.
Hey if my wife looked like that in her 60's, I'd be happy. But we're all different.
that's only gambling if you are a professional market trader. when ordinary guys trade it's not gambling because there is no chance at all of you coming out ahead.
Dunno dude…I see blonde cougar with with spectacular boobies…
I share your pain. I bought $3000.00 worth of Sirius stock the day Howard announced he signed. When it went up to $7.00 a share I bought more. When it dropped to a nickel a share I was tempted to try to get a little back but the show sucked worse than the stock and I didn't. I wish I only lost a grand.
I usually play craps. I've never lost more than $200 because that's all I allow myself to bet. I usually do the slow burn and lose my shit after a couple hours... One day, I'm just going to walk in, bet the whole $200 on a hand of black jack and leave.
when I was in Vegas, I began rolling at craps, and a guy put $1k on the pass line... 5 sevens later, I rolled a 4, at which point, he put $1k on the remaining numbers and $500 on each of the hard ways.... 30 minutes later, I had not rolled a 7 or a 4... The dude easily won $100-$250k and he fucking tipped me a $10 chip.... Fucking asshole.
two days later, I was waiting in line at bellagio and played some craps... One of the spectators from MGM grand saw me and hopped in. He put down like $2k and lost it in a second when these two bleach blonde botches wanted to try gb log for the first time... He ran out of money before I could roll... Lll
