I'm one of those people who is super sensitive to motion blur on shitty TV's. I get hyper sensitive to it especially with sports on crappy LCD's/LED's. I've always insisted on plasma for this reason and have had many arguments with people who don't see motion blur and tell me I'm full of shit. This is the best article I've ever read explaining why we are sensitive to certain framerates and how we process moving images. Good reading if you know what I'm describing...

If you don't find the "wiggly-jiggly" section interesting and informative check your pulse.

It's so weird to watch a blu ray on my new TV with the fast frame rate. It looks like a bunch of actors re-creating the famous scenes on video with cheesy sets. Hard to believe it's the actual movie. I can't decide if I hate it or love it. On one hand it looks like a porn set and on the other hand, I love seeing all the detail and no motion blur. They need to invents self adapting refresh rate movies that adjust accordingly.

I love it. The blur fucks with my brain. I try and process it all too clearly and it overloads me somehow. That's the best way I can explain it.

But the still scenes look so weird. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that it's the same scene and not a reshoot. Even Goodfellas looks like a play shot with a video camera.
