Ok, so we bought this house where the people had planted a bunch of flowers and shit. I am allergic to flowers and could give a rat fuck about whatever other plant stuff is growing out of the ground.

So, I've been the one stuck with trying to keep it all under control and I'm sick of it. I decided to just rip it all out. The flowers next to the garage I want to replace with some stone/pebble type stuff. I need to figure out how much I need to dig up, cause the roots are pretty deep, or if I can just get out what I can, lay down some rubber matting and put the stones on top? I only want to have to do this once. I don't want stuff growing underneath the rubber and pushing up, necessitating me having to re-do the whole fucking thing.

As you can tell, I hate this shit. I spent two hours yesterday digging up a big flower bush. I just want this stuff gone so I don't have to deal with it anymore. I have no idea what I'm doing.

    Any advice?

Just dump the entire container over the ground space and nothing will grow.
I did it in one of the flower beds in the walkway leading up to my house.
I gave it two pourings over a month then put down my rocks and desert flora.

Well, I was trying to avoid the chemicals, but this sounds way better than crawling around in the dirt with worms and spiders, wrestling with bush roots.

I don't know how big the rose bushes are, but you'll need to pull them out or else you'll have the dead stumps/dead bushes sticking up. Then put down the ground cover -- the mesh stuff you can get at lowes or k-mart. then the rocks/pebbles/whatever.

I cannot support the murder of flowers, if you kill the flowers you will kill the bees, if you kill the bees you kill the food, if you kill the food, you kill us
