So I'm listening to the replay....can't believe Gary waits for his Sirius Paycheck in the mail???? is he kidding?
He doesn't have direct deposit of his Huuuuuuuge Paycheck???

He was complaining about the Postal Service not delivering on Saturdays anymore.....during Robin's news. He said he likes getting his paycheck on a Saturday if it stopped he would have to wait until MONDAY to get his paycheck???

Wow-we...he IS a dumb dumb....I don't think anyone gets their paycheck handed to them or mailed to them (unless you're a WackP'r waiting for you SSI CHECK) :rolleye: and I bet THEY have direct deposit....
    but Gary doesn't??

I guess he likes to SEE that 6 figure check and hold it in his hand before he
runs to the bank......(he said his bank is open until 5pm on Saturdays) oy vey
    what a dufus...

    peace & love

I have worked in corporate America for years, and for years it has been a REQUIREMENT to have your paycheck electronically transferred to your account. I can't tell you the last time I even had the option of getting a check, and that goes for regular paychecks, bonuses and expense reimbursements. In short, I think he is making shit up.

not to mention it gets posted to your account quicker, hassle free. most employers will not touch paper checks anymore, weird.

Sure, he grosses 20k per pay period (assuming paid twice a month). Even after taxes, he is well over 10k.

Sounds like Sirius pays Gary's money to Don. He takes his cut and sends Gary a check. I would think it would be backwards, but that ape is lucky to get anything, so I'm sure Don calls all of the shots.

    Independent Contractor / Corporation

    Lots of extra Write Off
No doubt his Wife is an "employee".

    Especially since he does "Appearances".

MANY MANY Companies still prefer Paper Checks when paying a Vendor(contractor).
It's all about the Float baby!

I don't know why he would want it mailed to him, instead of getting it electronically.
But remember when Artie mistakenly got Gary's paycheck......so maybe he is getting it mailed.

Buchwald gets the check first. Buchwald's "service" won't provide direct deposit.

You know old people and technology. Besides, the old fuck feels he's earning his cut everytime he licks the stamp.

Oh yeah, Buchwald still gets stamps you have to lick, too.

Wait, "Gary's" paycheck gets mailed to Don and then Don mails it to Gary....AND THEN GARY HAS TO GO TO THE BANK AND DEPOSIT IT?

So, Gary has acces to HIS money like 3 days after he gets paid?

The only reason (that I can think of) why Don receives Gary's check is that the check is NOT made out to Gary but to some entity that Don controls--does DON technically pay Gary?

Don has to take his cut, Howard needs to get his beak wet, and Gary get's whatever is left over. It's like chicken night at the Dell'Abate house.

And if you take it to its next logical conclusion....Don and Howard get a percentage of Gary's paycheck.

    Any person (especially in sales)
Can work for a company as an independent contractor.
Essentially they take out NO Taxes.
The entire amount goes to the company/contractor.
The company pays Salary(ies) expenses and Taxes (if any).

The easiest Noticeable benefit that almost everyone can easily relate to, is the car Gary Drives.
Each penny he pays related to transportation is a write off.

Combining the Appearance Money and Sirius "contract" work is the way to do it.
He has 7 DVR's A few(if not most) are a deduction as "Research".

His home office is a deduction.
Part of his electric is a deduction.
Part of his Landscaper/Snow Removal is a deduction.
If his wife is listed as an employee partner etc...
Her car and related expenses are deductions.
His clothes "for appearances" you betcha.
Health Insurance (If Sirius offers crappy plan) then can be purchased and written off as an expense.
Funding retirement Accounts (Partially)can also be an expense to the company.
In the long run on Gary's EARNINGS he comes out WAY AHEAD by doing it that way.

    Artie had the same setup.
No Doubt Fred & Robin do the same.
