Gary on WUS: If you work hard your whole life and you don't have any money left...the government should pay for what you need later in life.

    Really?

He went on to say that he's a big fan of FDR type of government.

Scott inferred (according to Gary) that Gary's father apparently didn't do a good enough job in life if he couldn't provide for his wife's (ex-wife?) welfare in her later years.

Question for Gary: How do we quantify who worked hard and who didn't do a very good job at planning?

Gary will be on welfare in 2016.

He is not even qualified to manage a fast food joint.

    Dumb monkey attacks Scott.
Everything Scott does if sanctioned and approved of by Doug Goodstein.
Sad Simian doesn't understand the basic chain of command in an office or business.

We already know he's a math whiz, after the great work on his "I Want You Back" tape... he's clearly thought this issue through, as well. Don't question him.

That's called Social Security. My parents lost most of their 401k retirement savings when the stock market crashed. Gary may be an absolute moron, and the Wrap-up show may be an unlistentable piece of shit, but I have no argument with social security for old people. If that's socialism, sign me up.

I dont think monkey meant it that way. Pretty sure he's saying....you can be irresponsible, not plan for the future and the government will help you out.

typical assume no responsibility for your own actions or lack thereof libtard mentality

Why? Did they sell? The market is higher now than it was before the crash.

In retrospect, your parents made risky investments--which they were willing to do due to the attractive potential returns.

They should have invested their money in T-bills and focused on what they needed in life vs. what they wanted.

So they people who invested their 401Ks in Treasuries and virtually risk-free (and thus, low return) funds should now have to subsidize your parents?

I suppose, going forward, those that wish to be conservative with their retirement money should factor in the cost of carrying the risk takers after they crash and burn.

My parents' mistake was being conservative--while they didn't lose a nickel of their 401K retirement money, they now have to pony up in the form of increased taxes to bail out your parents--it's ok though, because I'm sure if the market took off and your parents made a fortune they would have written a check to my parents, right?

It is socialism and don't worry, you'e already signed up.

The problem with Social security is that it's underfunded because the politicians have "borrowed" from it so often. By the time many of us retire, we will not be getting social security. They are no doubt going to have to means-test, and even though you may be entitled to the money - it is a trust, after all - it won't be there.

I wanted to puke when I heard him say that. First of all the "government" has no money so he wants other people to support his parents when it's his fucking responsibility. Fuck him and his government tit sucking mentality.

Exactly! While it worked back in the day, we're living too long. I hope for the best - that I'll see some social security - and expect the worst - that I'll see none of it.

The Giant Douches and Turd Sandwiches keep insisting that even though The SS Trust Fund (actually just IOUs) is underfunded the 224 billion payroll SS tax cuts won't have an effect on benefits and the solvency of the fund. Apparently not one of them has access to a calculator or a thimble full of economic sense.

    Gary is a moron.

The bottom line is that the government needs to a. offer only basic services required to live and b. be willing to sit idly by and let people die who failed to even bother planning for the future. They need to help the needy, and let the lazy die. That's the only way to shake the freeloaders of our society that are making America more difficult to live in for those of us that pull our own weight.

it isn't the gov'ts responsibility to take care of all gary's mother's needs.
that's what family is for (if they can afford to). if not, there are 1000's of charities that can pick up the slack when SS isn't enough.
the problem we have here in 2012 is the millions of people who are on SS disability having never worked a day in their lives.

SS was a wonderful concept to help the elderly, it is now used by 25yr old druggies and drama queens who are bipolar who supposedly can't work. and don't get me started on the billions used to educate and take care of the illegals who decide our country is a better place to live than the hellholes they come from.
this country is a mess and we're going bankrupt. we must cut spending in all programs. we who are productive citizens have had enough.

gary is the typical liberal hypocrite.
